Announcements
Eagle Success Period
Any student that has a "D" or and "F" in my class will be referred to my ESP office hours to work on missing assignments, labs, activities, or get tutoring! If they refuse to attend the ESP, the administration will be notified and parent notification and possible disciplinary action will be taken. This is the student's opportunity to take control of their education! I will give all missing assignments, exams etc during ESP only! I will not interrupt daily instruction for a student to get missing work.
Extra credit opportunities
There are numerous extra credit assignments that can be done that correspond with the lessons we are doing in class. Please take the opportunity to obtain and do an extra credit assignment to help increase your average. I will NOT allow extra credit to replace an assignment, lab, or exam. It is only meant to help in the understanding of a concept and "cushion" one's grade.
Course Despription
Biology is a lab-based course emphasizing the connection of biological facts to everyday life in order for students to develop a personal construction of biological knowledge. Attendance and punctuality will be important, as class discussions and participation will be vital in understanding the material.
